CENTERS OF ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

Preparing more professionals to meet the need to reduce vulnerabilities in the nation’s computer networks.

The National Security Agency and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have designated community colleges across the country as National Centers of Academic Excellence (CAE) in Information Assurance or Cyber Defense. The designation is based on updated academic criteria for cybersecurity education. The purpose of the CAE designation program is to prepare more professionals to meet the need to reduce vulnerabilities in the nation’s computer networks.
