Fun was had by all at Cleveland State Community College’s (Tenn.) inaugural Community First Awards Gala. The event, presented by CSCC and sponsored by First Tennessee Bank, honored people for their contributions to the community, in nine categories ranging from healthcare to philanthropy. Ten people were chosen as the category-level award winners, and one Community First Person of the Year was awarded.

Georgia Northwestern Technical College students Barry Arrington, Tanner Boyd, Bo Dooley, Burt Burns and Evan Brackett will be headed to the National Leadership and Skills Conference in Louisville, Kentucky. The GNTC team took home top honors in the TeamWorks competition at the State of Georgia SkillsUSA Competition held in Atlanta in March.
